Jennifer I. Watson has been named coordinator of transfer initiatives at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Previously, Watson served on the adjunct faculty at Penn College in the areas of psychology, education and first year programs. Before joining the college, she taught in the K-12 environment, first in the Gilboa-Conesville Central School District in Gilboa, New York, then at Roxbury Central School in Roxbury, New York.
As part of the College Transitions office at Penn College, Watson will focus on transfer-student issues including articulation agreement development, credit equivalency, transfer-student life, and marketing and recruiting. In her new post, Watson will work with academic schools and departments and their respective faculty and staff, the Admissions Office, the Registrar and other offices on campus that interact with and promote transfer students at the college. She will also continue to foster relationships with faculty and staff counterparts at two-year institutions in Pennsylvania and surrounding states, with an emphasis on articulations in majors that align academically with Penn College.
“I am excited to have Jen join the College Transitions team," said Tanya Berfield, manager of college transitions. "Her drive, enthusiasm and energy will be a great asset to this position. Jen’s experience, knowledge and creativity will be of great benefit to her success and to the college."
Watson holds a Master of Science in Education from Walden University in Minneapolis and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Houghton College, in Houghton, New York.
