Unbeatable Connection Between Knowledge, Sound Choices Reinforced
Monday, April 27, 2015
A total of 28 children participated in Thursday’s 22nd annual ”Take Our Daughters & Sons to Work” Day, which encouraged girls and boys – potential Penn College students, all – to consider the decisions that will chart their tomorrows. With a theme of “Knowledge+Choice=Strength," this year’s observance included a cross-section of activities: a welcome by Paul L. Starkey, vice president of academic affairs/provost; icebreakers that encouraged teamwork; insight on the life of a Wildcat student-athlete; a reminder of the importance of good decisions (and the lasting consequences of bad ones), courtesy of College Health Services and Pennsylvania State Police; a peek into the campus' well-equipped Fitness Center, a tour with Presidential Student Ambassadors and lunch at Capitol Eatery.
