Amid Winter's Chill, Hotly Contested Game Goes Students' Way
Wednesday, February 25, 2015
Avenging last year's 20-point intramural loss to a faculty/staff squad, a team of Penn College students this week notched a 66-59 overtime win in a seasonal Bardo Gym tradition. Athletic director Scott Kennell was the game's Most Valuable Player, despite being on the losing side. The employee team was ahead by nine at the half, but the students stepped up the pace of the game and the faculty/staff challengers just couldn’t keep up. They had a chance to win the game, but a missed opportunity at the free-throw line gave the students the exciting OT victory.
