Pennsylvania College of Technology at Wellsboro will offer several computer classes this spring at Wellsboro Area Senior High School.
The classes are taught by qualified instructors at a comfortable pace for all levels of adult learners. They are held in a relaxed computer classroom environment, allowing students to learn, experiment and ask questions. Classes are hands-on, with one student per computer station.
Outlook 2013 will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 10. Topics covered will include using email; managing messages, folders, calendars, and contacts; scheduling and managing meetings; organizing tasks; and utilizing Outlook data files.
A Beginner’s Guide to Computers & Microsoft Office will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 17. This class is designed for new computer users to create very basic files in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. There will be time for practice and application.
Microsoft Word Level I will be taught from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 24. This class includes the fundamental knowledge and techniques needed to use Word features.
Microsoft Word Level II will follow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, and includes more complex documents and the use of Word efficiency tools.
Google Drive is a new course that will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 14. Learn this online software that lets you store and access your files anywhere using a computer, smartphone or tablet. Become familiar with all that Google has to offer, such as creating documents, spreadsheets, forms and drawings.
Microsoft Excel Levels I, II, III will be offered April 21, 28 and May 5.
