Future Business Leaders Get Warm Campus Welcome on Chilly Wednesday
Wednesday, January 7, 2015
Hundreds of students, representing 17 area junior and senior high schools, convened at Penn College on Wednesday for the Future Business Leaders of America Region 7 Leadership Conference. The students attended a keynote address by Kathryn Ecker, founder of and CEO of LTI Consulting LLC, attended workshops led by local business leaders that offered practical tips for success, and competed in dozens of categories for the opportunity to enter state-level competition. Many Penn College employees lent a hand by welcoming students to campus during opening ceremonies and by serving as competition judges, while Michael R. Triassi, director of sales and restaurant operations in the college’s School of Business & Hospitality, provided a workshop on business luncheon etiquette.
