Hundreds Join Late-Night 'Madness' to Greet Basketball Season
Friday, November 14, 2014
Approximately 400 students turned out for the Penn College Midnight Madness on Thursday night to help kick off the NCAA men’s and women’s basketball season. Held in Bardo Gym, the event featured interviews with the coaches, team introductions, prizes, giveaways and a Battle of the Sexes 3-point contest. The Penn College Dance team performed a well-choreographed number that included many of the Wildcat basketball players, and the night wrapped up with a scrimmage between the men’s and women’s teams. Athletics thanks Gwendolyn Ntim, who sang a gorgeous national anthem, and the Penn College Diners Club for providing delicious snacks for the event. Good luck to the Wildcats this season!
