About 600 students attended the recent Block Party on Vine Avenue, between Susquehanna and Park streets, an end-of-semester venue that makes final-exam anxiety vanish for at least a few hours. This year's event carried a 1990's theme, complete with an outdoor roller rink, a giant Jenga game, Twister, novelties including spin art and a photo booth, T-shirts and food (including popular student fare such as Hot Pockets and Lunchables). The bash is a collaboration among Penn College's Off-Campus Housing Organization, Community Assistants, The Wildcat Events Board (advised by Student Activities' Allison A.Bressler) and the Village Resident Assistant staff (led by RA Jonathan F. DeRoner and Michael D. Penwell, Residence Life coordinator). The WEB team included students Michael A. Coletti, Brittany R. Terpstra, Mohammed A. Kanwi and Zachary A. Knol.
