Tuesday, January 14, 2014
Pennsylvania College of Technology’s web and interactive media major is revealed through the eyes of Zane R. Sensenig, Mountville, in the latest video added to the college’s YouTube Channel.
Sensenig, a junior, reveals the Web-design process in the four-and-a-half minute video, and highlights attributes of the bachelor-degree major. A Dean’s List student, Sensenig describes Web design as an “awesome” experience when hard work results in a live site on the Internet.
Interactive media students integrate diverse skills in Web design/development, interactive marketing, social networking, digital communications, audio and video production, digital publishing, and production to create interactive, user-defined products and services. Positions for graduates of the major include website design and development, social media marketing, instructional technologies, mobile development, app development and digital publishing.
Christopher J. Goodwin, of Jericho, Vt., shot, produced and edited the video featuring Sensenig. Goodwin is a web and interactive media major and serves as a student video production assistant in the College Information and Community Relations Office.
The Penn College YouTube Channel has recorded more than 456,000 video views since debuting in 2009. The channel offers student and alumni profiles, news items, and unique college stories. It also includes full-length episodes of the college’s award-winning, career-awareness public television series, “degrees that work.tv.”
