Bethany M. Reppert 2013's Final 'Student of the Month'

Bethany M. Reppert, an applied human services major from Pottsville, has been chosen as the Student of the Month at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Reppert is a member and secretary of the Students Making a Contribution organization, a student mentor and a part-time employee at the college's Madigan Library.

Besides her activities listed above, she serves as a role model for human services students by example, has a strong commitment to her academics and also service to others," her nominator wrote. "During her summer internship, she put together a free self-defense workshop for women, partnering with a local agency, which included safety tips and a demonstration of self-defense techniques."

"Based on her ethical and professional conduct in and out of the classroom," the faculty member added, "she was invited to serve as a mentor to other human services students."

Reppert is the Student Government Association's final selection of the Fall 2013 semester. Recognition – bestowed numerous times each academic year based on commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement – will resume  in early 2014. Nominations from faculty/staff and other students are strongly encouraged.
