The women’s team fell to Alfred (N.Y.) State, 69-34, and the men lost to Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades, 63-55, in the home doubleheader. Hot dogs, soda and chips were given away, and free mini-basketballs – a half-dozen of them numbered and randomly distributed to students – provided the opportunity for someone to win a $200 declining-balance meal plan from Dining Services. Jamie L. Steer, a former Lady Wildcat who re-enrolled as a general studies major for the Spring 2014 semester, did just that when she handily sunk a 3-pointer at halftime of the women's contest. The nightcap brought a free-throw challenge in which Lorenzo A. Marefka, a business administration: management concentration major, won a $20 gift card from The College Store, and the Dance Team performed during both games.
