Penn College Names Director of Sales, Restaurant Operations

Michael R. Triassi has been named director of sales and restaurant operations at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Triassi, who among his duties will oversee Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, brings more than 15 years of leadership experience in the hospitality industry.
Le Jeune Chef is a fine-dining restaurant operated by the college’s School of Business & Hospitality as a training site for students enrolled in culinary arts, baking and pastry arts, and hospitality management majors.
In addition to maintaining high levels of food and service at Le Jeune Chef Restaurant, he will work closely with the Office of Facilities and Events to plan and organize all banquet and catering events served by Le Jeune Chef.
“We’re pleased to have Michael join our management team,” said Frederick W. Becker, dean of business and hospitality. “His unique work experiences will serve him well as he works with our students, staff, faculty and guests."
Triassi holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from James Madison University and most recently was director of food and beverage for the Trade Center Management Group, which provides building management and hospitality services at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. Before joining the group, he was assistant banquet manager for The Willard InterContinental, a fine hotel one block from the White House.
He began his career with Marriott International, climbing the ranks from catering services manager at its J.W. Marriott Scottsdale (Ariz.) Camelback Inn Resort & Spa, to catering operations manager at the Williamsburg (Va.) Marriott and banquet maitre d’ at the Albany (N.Y.) Marriott.
