On Sunday, the Penn College women’s volleyball team honored its two graduating members prior to the team’s match against Penn State Greater Allegheny.
Jaclyn Cardini, a surgical technology major from Stroudsburg, joined the team this year. In her 10 appearances on the court, the Lady Wildcats have been victorious.
Head coach Monica Brown said of Cardini: “She is the team’s most improved player. She always keeps a positive attitude and works hard each day.”
Rachel Heller, a computer aided product design major from Allison Park, has been a four-year member of the squad.
“She has led the Wildcat defense tremendously," the coach said of Heller. "She is currently leading the (Penn State University Athletic Conference) in digs and has also added 19 aces. Rachel has really stepped up this year into a defensive role.”
