Hydroculture Garden Grows Opportunities at Penn College

No soil? No problem for this garden! Fresh learning opportunities are growing at Penn College, thanks to a hydroculture garden that is serving the needs of landscape/horticulture majors. The garden's impact extends beyond the School of Natural Resources Management greenhouse and classroom; its amazing produce is shared collegewide in campus dining units and the award-winning Le Jeune Chef Restaurant. A video – featuring Dennis P. Skinner, assistant professor of horticulture; Jeremy L. Thorne, a landscape/horticulture technology: landscape emphasis major from Sugarloaf; and Stephen A. Manley, the restaurant's executive chef – has just been posted to the college's YouTube channel:
