Two members of the Pennsylvania College of Technology baseball team have been honored for their respective performances during the Wildcats' 5-3 week that ended April 21.
Zachary J. Buterbaugh
Sophomore Zachary J. Buterbaugh, an accounting major from Conestoga, was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association and Penn State University Athletic Conference Baseball Player of the Week.
Buterbaugh hit .600 (12-20) during the period, scoring 11 runs and nine RBIs. He also racked up five doubles and two stolen bases. So far this season, he is hitting .366 (37-101) with 23 RBIs and 11 doubles. As lead-off for Penn College, he has been consistent with a .484 on-base percentage.
Craig T. Watson
Sophomore Craig T. Watson, of McEwensville, an electronics and computer engineering technology: robotics and automation emphasis major, was chosen as the latest PSUAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
Watson recorded two wins in the past week, pitching a total of seven innings with only four hits and no runs. In addition, he notched seven strikeouts. So far this season, Watson has a 1.98 earned run average in seven appearances with 10 hits and 16 strikeouts.
