Convenient 'Finale' Moves Students Several Steps Closer to Their Big Day

With daydreams of crossing the stage to claim a Penn College diploma, the Wildcat mascot sizes up a commencement cap and gown.Next stop, employment! Shelley L. Moore, assistant director of career services, reminds a graduating senior about the job-search assistance available to students and alumni.Take a memo: Every one of Penn College's "degrees that work" comes with membership in the Alumni Association, an invaluable and lifelong connection.Registrar Denny L. Dunkleberger and Carol T. Sims, student enrollment assistant, distribute commencement  tickets and  end-of-semester goodwill.Joan M. Gilbert, head cashier/customer service liaison at The College Store, accommodates a long line of students.Penn College students who have petitioned to graduate in one of next month's three commencement ceremonies found abundant smiles and convenience at Tuesday's Grad Finale in Penn's Inn. The traditional event provides students with the opportunity to move smoothly through their hectic to-do list: picking up graduation tickets; purchasing caps and gowns; ordering commencement announcements; learning about alumni benefits; and enjoying giveaways, food and drinks with classmates in celebratory surroundings.
