First baseman Travis Hendershot, set to graduate in May from Penn College's electronics and computer engineering technology: robotics and automation emphasis major, has been named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week for the period ending April 7. The Muncy resident was superb at the plate during the team's 7-1 week, batting .548 (17 for 31) with 15 RBIs, 17 runs and two home runs. His efforts helped solidify the Wildcats in the top spot of the PSUAC. He shares the accolade with Penn State Brandywine’s Gabe Encarnacion. This year, Hendershot is hitting .365 (23 for 63) with a team-leading 20 RBIs (second overall in the conference). Hendershot and Penn College travel to Penn State Hazleton for a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Wednesday.
