Cisco Accreditation Includes Courses Taught at Penn College

Tuesday, March 5, 2013

Cisco Networking AcademyTwo of the certifications taught in Penn College's 10-year-old Cisco Networking Academy are among those recently accredited by the American National Standards Institute, the industry standard for information technology networking. The academy, based in Room 143 of the Center for Business and Workforce Development, offers classes that help prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate and CCNA Security career certifications. ANSI accreditation signifies that the student who passes the CCNA exam has attained a certification designed to the highest industry requirements. "This accreditation further validates the value students receive through our Cisco Networking Academy courses," said Jeffrey B. Weaver, associate professor of electronics and computer engineering technology, "and the fact that Cisco is the first vendor to achieve ANSI accreditation speaks to the quality and integrity of the certification programs offered by the college." For more information about Cisco certifications or how to schedule a class, visit Weaver in BWD, Room 156; call 326-3761, ext. 7702; or email.
