A horticulture student at Pennsylvania College of Technology was awarded a scholarship at a recent meeting of the Williamsport Garden Club.

“This award made me feel like my hard work at Penn College was recognized,” said Kaila A. Sewald, of DuBoistown, who is scheduled to graduate in May with an associate degree in landscape technology/horticulture: plant production emphasis. “As I listened to the presenters at their program for the evening, it made me realize that I will never stop learning about the ‘green’ industry. (It) continued to broaden my thinking about my career area and energized me to begin the steps necessary to launch my career."
