A winter wonderland, more than 400 acres' worthA wet snowfall clings to tree branches.Blue sky gives balance to a striking tableau.Snow-kissed topiaries uniquely shape the ESC grounds.A splash of Wildcat color brightens the bleakly beautiful landscape.From Penn College's School of Natural Resources Management, where Cupid donned a snowsuit Thursday, comes a welcome dose of serenity on a not-quite-weekend workday. In sweet seclusion off Route 15, a short drive "over the mountain" from main campus, the Schneebeli Earth Science Center provides an inspiring view of seasonal splendor before time and traffic sully its quiet grace.
