Tips for Students' Mealtime Success Offered at Etiquette Dinner
Tuesday, October 2, 2012
Tuesday night's Etiquette Dinner gave dozens of Penn College students the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of fine dining to prepare for a job interview or other professional event in which social graces could be a make-or-break consideration. The banquet drew about 50 students and nine mentors to Le Jeune Chef Restaurant for a School of Hospitality primer in which fork to use, why not to text during dinner, the enduring necessity of "please" and "thank you," and what to do with that pesky napkin when temporarily leaving the table. The soup-to-coffee crash course, which has grown into a semi-annual event in barely two years, is co-sponsored by Career Services and Alumni Relations.
