Penn College to Offer Noncredit, Basic Computer Classes

Two basic computer classes will be offered in October by Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
A Beginner’s Guide to Computers and Microsoft Office will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 5 and 12. The class is designed for new computer users to create basic files in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Computer Camp for Adults 55+, a fun course that introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Oct. 9 and 16.
Topics to be explored include games, email, the Internet, Facebook and basic word-processing for letter-writing.
Each of the classes, to be held at the Center for Business & Workforce Development on the college’s main campus in Williamsport, costs $99.
