Penn College to Offer Noncredit Courses for Basic Computing

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology is offering three basic computer classes in September and October.
Create Greeting Cards Using Publisher will be held on Sept. 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. The course introduces Microsoft Publisher to those who are new to the computer. Topics include using Publisher to create greeting cards, invitations and calendars.
Beginner’s Guide to Computers and Microsoft Office will meet on Oct. 5 and Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The class is designed for new computer users, who will learn about creating basic files in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Computer Camp for Adults 55+ will be offered from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 9 and Oct. 16. The course introduces the computer for enjoyment purposes. Topics explored include games, email, the Internet, Facebook and basic word-processing for letter-writing.
