Makeshift Driver's-Ed Course Tests Students' Prowess in Ambulance Operation
Thursday, July 19, 2012
Students in this summer's Operations and Rescue Practices for the Paramedic course tested their competency behind the wheel of an ambulance Thursday. Two vehicles provided by Jersey Shore Area EMS added a true hands-on component to the course, as students took turns traversing Penn College's West Third Street parking lot. Classmates acted as safety officers and scorekeepers throughout the various stations, marked by pylons to designate routes of travel, parallel-parking space, and other tests of driving skill.
