The United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced the recipients of its end-of-season awards Sunday and senior Skylar Gingrich (Lititz) and sophomore Cody Buterbaugh (Conestoga) made the list of honorees. Gingrich was named a First Team All-American, becoming only the fourth Wildcat baseball player to do so. Buterbaugh was named an Academic All-American for maintaining a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher. All-Americans are voted on by members of the USCAA. This is Gingrich's first time making the cut as a four-year member of the Penn College squad. His final year in a Wildcat jersey was his best, as he finished the season capturing the Triple Crown in the Penn State University Athletic Conference leading in batting average (.455), RBI (50) and home runs (8). Gingrich and Buterbaugh are with their team in Springfield, Ill., for the USCAA baseball championships.
