Sports Banquet Pays Tribute to Spring Student-Athletes

Scott E. Kennell, athletic director, gave opening remarks, and coaches took to the podium to honor their respective squads. Baseball coach Chris Howard announced that the Wildcats have received a bid to the United States Collegiate Athletic Association national tournament in Illinois, many of the archery team members received multiple honors, and in a first for the college a female and male "Athlete of the Year" were selected: Kierstin G. Steer, a basketball scoring leader and two-time selection to the Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team, and Derek D.
