The Penn College Student Athlete Advisory Committee participated in Reading with the Wildcats at Sheridan Elementary School on Thursday. Nine student-athletes and three Athletics Department representatives traveled to the school, part of the Williamsport Area School District, for the annual Read Across America observance. The student-athletes performed "Horton Hatches the Egg" by Dr. Seuss for the entire school, then individually read stories to classrooms to promote reading. The Wildcats have participated in the event for the past four years. As a sign of appreciation, Sheridan students presented the college with a hand-decorated flower pot. Students participating in the event were: Brittany M. Basalla, Athletics student worker; Cora R. Bova and Lacy M. Lose, softball; Cody E. Buterbaugh, Kevin W. Fink and Garrett A. Hornung, baseball; Kelly R. Hebert, women's volleyball; and Clint Hinton, Ashlee L. Mull and Glen R. Thomas, archery. Photos by Jami L.
