Penn College Open House to Showcase 'Degrees That Work'

Prospective students seeking hands-on education leading to excellent career opportunities may visit Pennsylvania College of Technology on Saturday, March 24, for Open House. The activity-filled event offers visitors an opportunity to explore diverse academic programs, student life, and campus facilities and services.

Open House will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the main campus in Williamsport; free transportation will be provided to and from the college's Schneebeli Earth Science Center near Allenwood and the Lumley Aviation Center at the Williamsport Regional Airport in Montoursville.

"To learn the value of a hands-on education, visit during Open House to experience what our students are doing every day in the classroom," said Dennis L. Correll, associate dean for admissions and financial aid. "Students learn alongside industry-experienced faculty using the latest equipment and technologies, no matter what the field of study."

"The entire campus is open to tour from labs and classrooms to dining facilities and residence halls," Correll continued. "You have to visit Penn College to know this is the right place for your education and future career."

Open House visitors may participate in a variety of activities at the college, which is a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University:

  • Attend information sessions to learn more about the admissions process, financial aid, and academic programs and procedures.
  • Attend a "Choosing Your Major" session for help with selecting a career path.
  • Tour the campus and view the state-of-the-art facilities and equipment.
  • Meet with faculty and school deans to learn more about academic majors representing more than 100 career areas.
  • Interact with current students and learn more about student organizations and campus life at Penn College.
