College Admissions Office Adds Series of Saturday Campus Tours
Tuesday, February 14, 2012
To make campus visits more convenient for potential students and their families, Pennsylvania College of Technology has added organized Saturday tours to its Spring 2012 admissions offerings.
"Many prospective students are excited to see Penn College's campus and learn more about the admissions process, but find it difficult to spend the day here during one of our weekly visit days," said Joseph J. Balduino, director of recruitment in the college's Admissions Office. "We are happy to invite them to join us for a brief admissions presentation, followed by a guided campus tour, on several Saturdays this semester."
The Saturday series began earlier this month and will continue on Feb. 18, April 21 and May 5. The schedule for each of those days includes check-in at 10 a.m., an admissions program at 10:30, a tour of main campus at 11 and a wrapup at noon.
"The day went extremely well," Balduino said of the Feb. 4 visitation day. "Families took advantage of their ability to visit with Residence Life, tour Dauphin Hall, meet with Financial Aid and shop in the campus bookstore." Dauphin Hall houses the college's newest on-campus apartments and dining facility, and the Financial Aid Office and College Store are open until 1:30 p.m. for visitors on the scheduled Saturdays.
Interested guests can sign up for one of the Saturday tours or any of the regularly scheduled weekday visits online. Information is also available there about the college's Spring Open House, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 24.
