Lemasters Named New Interim Head Coach of Wildcats

Chris LemastersPennsylvania College of Technology has named Chris Lemasters the new interim head coach of the men's basketball program.

"Chris brings a wealth of experience as botha player and coach to our program," said athletic director Scott Kennell. "His experience and enthusiasm will prove to be invaluable as he and the current members of our program continue their quest to qualify for the PSUAC (Penn State University Athletic Conference) Tournament."

Lemasters is no stranger to the area, having grown up in Mansfield. He was a three-year varsity starter for the program and captained the team in his junior and senior years. He attended Alfred (N.Y.) University, where he was a four-year letter winner and three-year captain for the Saxon men's basketball team.

Lemasters graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and minor in coaching. In 2008, he earned his Master of Arts in student affairs in higher education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a coordinator of residence lifeat Penn College.

Lemasters and the Wildcats enter the second half of the 2011-12 season hosting Wilkes Universityat 7 p.m.Thursday, Jan. 7.
