Young women in grades six through eight took part in SMART Girls workshops at Penn College on Tuesday, immersing themselves in educational (and fun) activities to reinforce the role that math and science play in technology-based professions. Entering its 11th year, and nowmanaged by the college's Outreach for K-12 office, SMART (Science and Math Applications in Real-world Technologies) Girls is designed to expose participants to career possibilities in emerging technologies.
