Residence Life Announces First Honors of Fall Semester

Brent K. HeyPennsylvania College of Technology's Residence Life Office has announced its honorees for August/September.

Dauphin Hall's Brent K. Hey was selected as Resident Assistant of the Month and Ashley G. Maietta, an RA in York Hall, was chosen Rising Star of the Month.

RA of the Month"This RA has been a dedicated hard worker for Dauphin Hall since the building opened last year," staff wrote of Hey, a residential construction technology and management major from Chambersburg. "He continues to be a great team player and can often be found assisting residents with their problems. He truly cares about the residents and the mission of Residence Life."

Ashley G. MaiettaRising Star of the Month"This RA has been instrumental in the early success of the residents in Lancasterand York halls. Throughout the first few weeks of school, she consistently took residents out to enjoy the various PC3 events. In addition, she handled resident issues, returned administrative paperwork and completed assignments quickly." (PC3 is a three-week series of activities that begin the semester andfoster campus involvement.)

She also was applauded for keeping fellow staff members upbeat as they progressed from three weeks of training to the opening of residence halls and the start of classes.
