Hundreds of young men and women representing every county in the commonwealth joined by their parents for lunch, campus tours and an introductory session in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium are here on scholarships awarded by generous private-sector employers. For the students, grouped into imaginary companies and living in campus housing through Saturday, the days ahead will challenge them as they replicate decisions experienced by their real-world counterparts in the competitive corporate arena. In her welcoming remarks, college President Davie Jane Gilmour urged the students to fully grasp the opportunities of the coming week and relayed to parents in the balcony an offer of annual scholarships to any participant who enrolls at Penn College.
