Penn College Names Director of Mathematics, General Education

Pennsylvania College of Technology recently appointed a director of mathematics and general education in the School of Integrated Studies.
Paul Watson II began his duties on July 1. Among his responsibilities, Watson coordinates the math-placement process for incoming students, oversees operations of the Test Center and supervises its staff, and evaluates and develops full- and part-time faculty. He also coordinates department and School of Integrated Studies general-education assessment efforts with the Office of Assessment, Research and Planning.
Prior to his appointment at Penn College, Watson coordinated mathematics instruction and curriculum at Jefferson Central School in Jefferson, N.Y. In addition to full-time mathematics teaching experience at Houghton College, he also has taught part-time in mathematics at Hartwick College, Genesee Community College, and the SUNY campuses at Cobleskill and Oneonta.
In addition to recently completing graduate credits in public education administration and leadership at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, Watson holds master's degrees from the University of Rochester and Syracuse University in education and curriculum and mathematics instruction. He completed a bachelor's degree in mathematics at Houghton College.
