Wednesday, May 25, 2011

A $1,500 grant from the Easton Sports Development Foundation II helped the Pennsylvania College of Technology archery team defray travel expenses for its recent trip to national competition in Harrisonburg, Va.

The Wildcats finished second overall during the U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championships, which were held May 19-22 at James Madison University. Penn College archers also earned a number of individual and team honors including five designated All-Americans and two Academic All-Americans and the college's Chad Karstetter was selected as Coach of the Year.

The Easton Foundations sponsor a variety of programs to increase the awareness and viability of archery at the state, regional and national levels, including grants to colleges and universities for archery-related projects.
