School Counselors, Teachers Attend Student-Readiness Conference

High school counselors and teachers attended the College and Career Readiness Conference at Penn College on Friday. During the event, they discussed what it means for students to be ready for college and prepared to choose a career path, participated in round-table discussions on such topics as helping students navigate financial aid and using social networking to aid in the college search, and took tours of the college's laboratories. The semi-annual event is offered by the college's Outreach for K-12 Office and the Admissions Office.
