Season of Celebration Brings Renewed Call for Vigilance on Fake IDs
Monday, April 25, 2011
With graduation and prom season just around the corner, the Bush Campus Center hosted a Fictitious Identification Training Session on Monday afternoon to give bartenders, bouncers and other licensees added pointers on fighting underage drinking. Speakers for the event co-sponsored by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement and the College and Community Coalition (of which Penn College is a founding member) were state police Sgt. Jeff McGinnis and Cpl. Rick Goodling. Through public-service videos and examples of phony identification cards circulating the area, the presenters explained how attendees can spot and report fraudulent IDs in their establishments.
