A member of the physician assistant faculty at Pennsylvania College of Technology recently presented at the Physician Assistant Education Association Annual Education Forum in Baltimore.
Christine M. Kessler, associate professor of physician assistant, presented a poster titled "The Relationship Between Multiple Intelligences and Attitude Toward Independent Learning." Based on her doctoral research, the poster shared her findings that interpersonal intelligence one of the eight multiple intelligences was predictive of physician assistant students' attitudes toward independent learning.
Kessler holds a doctorate in adult education from The Pennsylvania State University. She received a Master of Medical Science and a bachelor's degree in physician assistant studies from St. Francis University. She began her employment with Penn College in 1996 and received the 2009 Veronica M. Muzic Master Teacher Award, the highest honor presented to a Penn College faculty member.
Prior to joining Penn College's faculty, Kessler was employed by the National Health Services/Executive Health Group, Good Samaritan Medical Center, Johnstown; the Veterans Administration Hospital, Altoona; and the former Mercy Medical Center (now Good Samaritan Medical Center), Johnstown.
