Penn College to Present Farcical 'Run for Your Wife' Nov. 11-13

Casting Change Prompts College's Postponement of Stage Play"Run for Your Wife," Ray Cooney's comedy about a London cab driver with two distinct lives and two wives! will be staged next month in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Klump Academic Center.
The production, the college's first foray into full-tilt farce after two years of musicals, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 11-13 by the Student Activities Office. Admission is free to Penn College students and employees; tickets are $5 each for the general public.
Cast members are Justin A. Ball, of Sandy Ridge, enrolled in business administration: management concentration; Emily Carella, of Hawley, majoring in residential construction technology and management: building construction technology concentration; legal assistant/paralegal majors Rachelle N. Horning, of Muncy, and Eric J. Palanko, of Latrobe; Michael C. Snyder, a graphic design student from Shamokin; and Scott T. Stofko, of Burke, Va., enrolled in automotive technology management: collision repair concentration.
The cast also features Chad T. Lower, an instructor of mathematics at the college.
The show is directed by Jacquie Engel, a graphic designer and frequent director/music director at downtown Williamsport's Community Theatre League, who has directed student productions at Penn College for the past two seasons: "tick "¦ tick "¦ BOOM!" in 2008 and last year's "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" (which also featured Carella and Lower).
"The show is just one of the funniest, fast-paced shows out there. You really have to pay attention. As lies pile on top of lies, the action gets out of control and is so much fun!" Engel said. "I really like working with the kids. Although this "acting stuff' is unfamiliar to some of them, they often surprise themselves as they begin to understand the importance of timing and delivery. They are also beginning to appreciate how much work it is. Not just fun and games."
