Creative Cuisine Series to Feature 'International Brunch'

Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Pennsylvania College of Technology will offer the next presentation in its "Creative Cuisine Series" on July 10.
The series features six cooking demonstrations by faculty and professional staff in the college's School of Hospitality.
On July 10, Chef Charles R. Niedermyer, instructor of baking and pastry arts/culinary arts, will demonstrate an "International Brunch." The event is scheduled 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Thompson Professional Development Center outdoor patio (in the event of rain, it will be moved to the center's atrium). After his demonstration, the dishes will be served as an elegant outdoor buffet. There will also be a cash mimosa/build-your-own Bloody Mary bar.
The menu includes:
- Viennoiserie: exotic fruit pastry chocolate croissant
- Frittata: fresh eggs, creamy ricotta, spinach and apple-wood cured bacon
- Caprese salad: heirloom tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella
- Duck breast: tender breast of duck grilled to medium rare, carrots, Israeli cous cous and parsley puree
- Dessert: chocolate and coffee éclairs, lemon pine-nut tart
Cost of the event is $47.50.
