Susquehanna Room to Get New Name

Tuesday, May 11, 2010

As the 25th-anniversary year of Dining Services comes to a close, the department announces some upcoming changes:

On May 17, the Susquehanna Room will be renamed the Keystone Dining Room. This change reflects not onlyPennsylvania's role as theKeystone State, but recognizes this unit asPennsylvania College of Technology'skey, foundational student dining venue.

The West Side convenience store in College West Apartments closed at the end of the semester. The unit will re-emerge with a new look, new location and new name in the fall. Fuel will be located in the new Dauphin Hall residence hall, creating better access to those students living in the new Rose Street Commons.

Dining Services'most anticipated change for the Fall 2010 semester is the opening of Capitol Eatery, a new full-service dining unit that also will be located in Dauphin Hall. This board-plan facility was designed to meet the needs of students living on-campus.

The campus community is encouarged to help Dining Services recognize these changes throughout the summer and into the new academic year.
