Pennsylvania's home of hands-on education is adding an appropriately personal touch to its institutional Web presence, giving the public an opportunity to submit photographs for online use. Through a new "Share your creativity" link on Penn College's home page, photos of the campus and related activities may be submitted for consideration. If approved for publication, the images will be credited accordingly and the photographer's college affiliation student, parent, alumna/alumnus, employee, etc. will be noted. In addition to further engaging the public and providing a highly visible online venue for its audience's eye-catching images, the initiative will increase the college's inventory of quality photographs. While the invitation to submit photos is open to all readers of PCToday, Elaine J. Lambert, director of college information and community relations, said she is most hopeful that students will respond. "Student participation plays an important role in Penn College marketing from student ambassadors, who lead campus tours and share their Penn College experiences with visitors, to students and alumni who give testimonials about their 'degrees that work,' to the student photographers and videographers who work in the College Information & Community Relations office, contributing their talents to PCToday and other college projects," she said. "Now, we are opening the door to even more involvement, by inviting all students to submit campus photos that can be displayed on the college Web site. It's a great opportunity to share a unique student vision and perspective with our online visitors."
