Sheridan Schoolchildren Celebrate Reading With Wildcat Student-Athletes

Members of Penn College's Student Athlete Advisory Committee celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday with Sheridan Elementary School pupils Tuesday. This is the second year in which council members joined in celebrating Read Across America at the school. The student-athletes sang "Happy Birthday" to Dr. Seuss, introduced themselves, participated in the Read Across America Day Macarena, read a poem and performed a Reader's Theater production of "The True Story of the Three Little Pigs." Before leaving, the students visited each classroom and read books that were chosen by the schoolchildren.
