But it was not to be, according to this game summary from intramural assistant Jeremy R. Bottorf: The students quickly built up a 17-1 lead and never looked back. Ben Vincent led the way for the students with 16 points, Angel Stroud followed with 15, and game MVP Nick Francis had 14 points and countless rebounds. The rest of the student team also did its share of scoring, as Jon Boob had 10 points (and plenty of pretty passing); Nate Ranck and Trevor Whaley each had 8 points; and Keith Woznisky chipped in with 7. The staff/faculty team gained some momentum in the second half, when Gallahad Mallery drained two 3-pointers to inch the team closer. In the end, however, the students rarely missed and won the game 78-42. Mallery led the employees with 13 points. Eric Ranck had 8 points, Dale Jaenke had 7, Chris Leigh and Jim Williams Jr. each had 5, and Shawn McGehean added 4 points to round out the team's scoring.
