Penn College Student/Faculty Cast to Present Musical Revue

"I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," one of Off-Broadway's longest-running musicals, will be presented this month in Pennsylvania College of Technology's Klump Academic Center.
A comedy that celebrates modern-day relationships exploring "the joys of dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands and wives" the series of related vignettes will be staged at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12-14. The production, in conjunction with the college's Student Activities Office, includes adult content and themes.
Admission is free to Penn College students and employees; tickets are $5 each for the general public.
Cast members are Joscelyne E. Hauserman, of Linden, a graphic design major; Chad T. Lower, an instructor of mathematics at the college; Emily Carella, of Hawley, majoring in residential construction technology and management: building construction technology emphasis; Robert Tyler Lyons, a graphic design major from Hampstead, Md.; Katey E. Landry, of Breinigsville, enrolled in baking and pastry arts; and Alexander Lundberg, an undeclared freshman from Muncy.
The show is directed by Jacquie Engel, a graphic designer and frequent director/music director at downtown Williamsport's Community Theatre League. She also directed last season's student production of "tick "¦ tick "¦ BOOM!" at Penn College, as well as this summer's "Footloose" collaboration between CTL and the Community Arts Center.
"This is perhaps the funniest musical to hit the area in years," Engel said. "It's frank, open and honest, and you won't be able to stop laughing. The cast of six is doing a great job with the nearly 40 characters."
"I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts is second only to "The Fantasticks" in Off-Broadway longevity. Opening in August 1996, it played 5,003 performances before closing July 27, 2008, and has been staged in more than 400 cities worldwide.
