Culinary Major Honored During 'Senior Day' at Tennis Match
Wednesday, October 7, 2009
This year's lone graduating member of the Penn College tennis team was recognized during a brief "Senior Day" ceremony prior to Wednesday afternoon's match against Penn State Mont Alto. James Kyle Hanjaras, a culinary arts and systems major from Montrose, was congratulated by teammates and members of the Athletics Department at the Memorial Park courts, where the Wildcats ultimately won, 9-0. Hanjaras was characterized by coach Aimee Plastow as "the big man with the big serve," but the coach termed the National Guardsman's military service far more noteworthy than any of his on-court accomplishments.
