The victory, No. 16, also set a new school single-season record, topping the 15-win season in 2004-05. Greg Solyak (Lancaster) led the charge with 27 points while Joe Simon (Renovo) added 24. For the season, the Wildcats moved past 2,000 points in offense. Entering the Penn State University Athletic Conference playoffs as the No. 4 seed, the Wildcats were knocked off for the second year in a row in the quarterfinals. Leroy Joiner (Williamsport) scored a personal season-high 35 points for Penn College, but it wasn't enough to get past No. 5 Penn State DuBois. Simon added 14 points, and, in doing so, became the fourth Penn College men's player to eclipse 1,000 points for his career he now has 1,013. Mike Knepp (Swiftwater) chipped in with 12 points, Craig Flint (Port Allegany) scored nine points, pushing his career record total to 1,138, and Tom Little tallied eight, taking his career scoring total to 859. For the season, the Wildcats have scored 2,123 points, an average of 81.7 per game, and allowed 2,071, an average of 79.6. Joiner leads the team in scoring with 454 points (17.5 average), followed by Solyak with 358 (13.7), Simon 328 (12.6), Flint 301 (13.1) and Little 271 (10.4).

In the most recent United States Collegiate Athletic Association men's Division II poll, Penn College is ranked No. 8.Women's BasketballIn their regular-season finale against Penn State Schuylkill, the Wildcats fell behind early and never recovered. Chelsey Holmes (Hughesville) topped Penn College scorers with 17 points. Playing at Penn State Greater Allegheny in the Penn State University Athletic Conference quarterfinals, the Wildcats saw their season end with a four-point loss. Erica Logan (Montoursville) topped Penn College scorers with 24 points and Holmes added 21. For the season, Logan scored 392 points (15.1 per game average), Holmes scored 329 points (12.7) and Kelsey Mack (Douglassville) scored 281 (10.8). As a team, the Wildcats scored 1,743 points (67-per-game average) and allowed 1,564 (60.2). In the most recent United States Collegiate Athletic Association women's poll, Penn College was ranked No. 13.Men's VolleyballThe Wildcats' won their only club league match of the week at Villanova and now are idle until March 3 when they travel to Messiah. Just four days after that, they compete in a tournament at Messiah and, according to coach Wes Strayer, "We've got to come out of that week with a good showing."
