Red Cross Applauds College for 'Wonderful Job' With Bloodmobile

Lamont, of State College, a technology management major The American Red Cross was "extremely pleased" with the turnout for Wednesday's Bloodmobile at the Bush Campus Center, where 169 pints were collected 96 percent of the 175-pint goal. Of note also is that 37 first-time donors reached out to help others. The Red Cross and Student Health Services thank all students, staff and faculty who participated as a donor or volunteer; special thanks to Food Services for providing pizzas for the event. Carl L. Shaner, Student Health Services director, said the Red Cross called Thursday morning to congratulate Penn College on a wonderful job with the blood drive; campus donations will save 507 lives. "Thank you and everyone there so much for the hard work and dedication to the drives," a Red Cross representative told Shaner.
