All-Conference Honors Among Athletic Successes

Nine Pennsylvania College of Technology cross-country and men's soccer players have received Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Conference honors and men's cross-country coach Mike Paulhamus was named coach of the year.

Cross-country runners cited include Mark Cordeiro (sophomore/Canton), Stephen Hoffman (freshman/Ocean City, Md.), and Jeff Faherty (junior/High Point, N.J.) from the men's squad and Tamara Pavlov (sophomore/Lewisburg) and Hollie Schuster (freshman/Jersey Shore) from the women's team.

Under Paulhamus, the men went 16-0 in the conference, winning their sixth consecutive championship. They were 36-9 overall, including a third-place finish at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Championships. The Penn College women were 10-1 in the conference, placing second for the fourth straight season, and ended 14-2 overall, third in the USCAA. Cordeiro was the individual PSUAC men's champion.

Recognized in men's soccer were Steven Bull (senior/Hampstead, Md.), Coleby Frye (junior/York) and Stephen Lis (senior/Elliottsburg). William DeAngelo (sophomore/Dallas) earned conference Honorable Mention honors.

Coached by Enrique Castillo, the Wildcats finished a perfect 11-0 in the conference and captured their fifth consecutive PSUAC crown. Overall, they finished 13-2.
