WEB won the Outstanding Programming Award in the category of Civic or Service-Learning Program for May's Walk-It-Out program, in which hundreds of participants collected pledges and strolled around Penn College's Athletic Field to raise nearly $8,000 for the American Cancer Society.
The other two awards were won by students in the graphic arts competition: Megan R. Pennington, a graphic design student from Baltimore, won in the category of Nonposter Publicity for her Walk-It-Out footprint. Michael C. Snyder, of Shamokin, also a graphicdesign student, won in the category of Multicolor Student-Designed Poster for the Rock 'n' Roll Egg Hunt. In that event, 160 Penn College students searched for colored eggs hidden on campus by Residence Life staff.
