Cristen L. "Crissy" Matter has been appointed director of food services at Pennsylvania College of Technology.
As director, Matter, who served as interim director for the department since November, is responsible for all food-service operations at the college, including seven dining facilities, two convenience stores, vending operations, meal plans, and supervision of the Food Services staff and management team.
"As interim director, Crissy demonstrated her capability and eagerness to continually improve Penn College's food-services operation," said Robert M. Fisher, vice president for business affairs at the college. "The ultimate beneficiaries of her talent and energy are our students, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact of the efforts of Crissy and her outstanding staff."
A native of the Williamsport area, Matter began her employment at Penn College in April 2006 as special-events manager in Food Services. She has been employed in the food-service industry since 1991.
Matter received a bachelor's degree in art with a minor in math from Radford College.
